About this fabric

This Ruskin II colourway is woven in 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton, with a width of approximately 142cm and a vertical repeat of about 64cm and horizontal repeat of about 36cm. The cloth shows a restrained damask pattern that sits just darker than the ground, so the motif is visible without becoming harsh or high-contrast. Ruskin Crimson has a burnished crimson quality, with a slightly earthy red undertone that softens the overall effect. The surface appears matt and textural rather than shiny, which helps the pattern feel tailored and substantial.

How to use it

This shade works beautifully on statement drapes, where its warm crimson depth can frame a room without looking overly bright. It also suits formal upholstery or blinds in spaces that need a traditional, grounded accent.

Use for elegant drapes or upholstery where a warm, rich red is wanted.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ruskin Crimson without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
