About this fabric

This colourway combines narrow horizontal banding with a crisp woven character that is visible across the full swatch. The stripe repeat is approximately V 23cm / H 2cm, which creates a disciplined rhythm rather than a bold statement. In this red/forest version, the warm red is softened rather than bright, sitting against forest-toned and pale neutral threads that keep the fabric looking grounded. The cloth is 140cm wide and made from 42% viscose, 34% linen and 24% polyester, so it has the drape and touch of a blended decorative fabric rather than a plain flat weave.

How to use it

Its muted red and green combination suits classic rooms, library schemes and upholstered pieces that need pattern without shouting. Use it with aged wood, stone, oatmeal linen or deep paint colours to let the stripe’s subtle contrast come forward.

Use it for tailored upholstery or curtains where the muted stripe can add structure without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
