About this fabric

Ridgeway Stripe Terracotta from the Sandford collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 42% viscose, 38% cotton, 16% polyester and 4% linen blend, with an approximate width of 140cm and a vertical repeat of 3cm and horizontal repeat of 35cm. The swatch reads as a warm, earthy stripe, with terracotta bands softened by cream ground tones and fine olive accents that keep the overall effect grounded rather than bright. The surface has a slightly slubbed, textured look that suits the cloth's mixed-fibre composition and gives the stripe gentle depth. With no performance features noted and a √CH fire code, it feels best suited to considered interior schemes that want a classic, finished look.

How to use it

Use it for upholstered dining chairs, cushions or a pelmet where the terracotta stripe can add warmth without overpowering the room. It also works well against oak, limestone and chalky wall colours, where the cream ground and muted green detailing stay lifted.

Pairs neatly with natural woods and muted linens for a warm, tailored look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ridgeway Stripe Terracotta without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
