About this fabric

This Sandford fabric from Colefax and Fowler has a subtle small-scale stripe with a vertical repeat of approx. 23cm and a horizontal repeat of approx. 2cm, creating a lightly textured, tailored surface. The composition of 42% viscose, 34% linen and 24% polyester gives the cloth a natural matte character with just enough smoothness to keep the stripes clear. In this Old Blue colourway, the design reads as pale, dusty blue layered with oatmeal, taupe and soft grey, so the overall effect is cool, muted and gently aged rather than vivid. The 140cm approx. width makes it practical for both drapery and upholstery schemes where a refined stripe is wanted. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair this soft old blue stripe with chalky whites, weathered oak and brushed nickel for a calm, understated scheme. It also works well as a quiet accent on a chair or blind where the delicate stripe can add structure without heaviness.

Use for tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains where the muted blue keeps the room calm and refined.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
