About this fabric

This Sandford fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a 138cm-wide cloth woven in 42% viscose, 20% polyester, 17% cotton, 17% linen and 4% polyamide. The surface reads as a tight, regular basket-like weave, with salmon-red, clay and muted green threads creating a softly speckled effect rather than a bold stripe. Its colourway feels warm and earthy, but the green fibres cool the overall tone and stop it becoming too orange. With a repeat of approximately V 12cm and H 7cm, it has enough structure for a considered upholstery scheme while still suiting drapery where a tailored, textural finish is wanted.

How to use it

Pair this muted red-green weave with aged oak, tobacco leather and painted stone for a calm, layered interior. It also works well alongside moss, olive and warm neutrals where its terracotta base brings gentle warmth.
