Lucena Tomato
Sandford FabricF4894-02
Lucena Tomato shows a lively woven ground in warm coral red, softened by beige and sandy yarns that stop it feeling too bold. The small-scale texture gives the colourway a hand-crafted, slightly dappled look.

About this fabric
This Sandford fabric by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 42% viscose, 20% polyester, 17% cotton, 17% linen and 4% polyamide, with a width of approximately 138cm and a repeat of V 12cm / H 7cm approx. In this colourway, the surface reads as a tomato-toned coral with salmon, tan and muted ivory notes woven through it, creating a broken, peppered effect rather than a flat red. The cloth looks crisp and structured enough for upholstery, while the mixed fibre content and small repeat also make it suitable for drapery where a textural finish is wanted. The overall impression is warm and earthy, with just enough brightness to lift a neutral scheme. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.
How to use it
Pair it with oak, aged brass or chalky neutrals to let the tomato-coral tone warm the room. It works especially well on an armchair, bench or roman blind where the small weave can be seen up close.
Use for tailoring cushions, loose covers or curtains when you want a warm, lively surface with subtle texture.

Pairs well with
Lucena Tomato is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
