About this fabric
This Sandford fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a woven textile with a 142cm approximate width and a horizontal repeat of 18cm, giving the stripe a measured, orderly rhythm across the cloth. The composition is 41% viscose, 36% cotton, 21% polyester and 2% linen, which helps explain the smooth handle and the gently matte surface visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the tomato notes read warm rather than sharp, softened by creamy ground tones and narrow accents of gold and muted peach. The result is a stripe that feels polished but not formal, with enough visual energy to lift a plain room. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.
How to use it
Use it on a blind, occasional chair or cushions where the vertical stripe can add height and a fresh, sun-warmed accent. It works especially well with natural woods, chalky paint colours and plain linens in cream or stone.
A warm striped cloth that brings crisp colour to tailored upholstery or neat curtains.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gilbert Stripe Tomato without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
