Gilbert Stripe Red/Green
Sandford FabricF4891-01
Gilbert Stripe Red/Green shows a crisp vertical stripe with a soft, natural ground that keeps the pattern feeling calm. The red and green threads read gently rather than boldly, giving the swatch a tailored, classic look.

About this fabric
This Sandford fabric is composed of 41% viscose, 36% cotton, 21% polyester and 2% linen, with an approximate width of 142cm and a vertical repeat of 0cm / horizontal repeat of 18cm. The weave looks smooth and lightly textured, with the stripe running cleanly through a warm ivory ground. In this colourway, the red sits in a muted, slightly dusty tone while the green is restrained and earthy, so the overall effect is fresher than a plain neutral but still composed. It is a versatile cloth for both upholstery and drapery where a neat, ordered stripe is wanted, and the fire code is √BM.
How to use it
Use it on upholstered chairs, cushions or blinds where the vertical stripe can add rhythm without overpowering the room. Its soft red and green palette works especially well with oak, wicker and painted neutrals.
A neat striped fabric that brings tailored colour without feeling loud.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gilbert Stripe Red/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
