Ruskin Red
Ruskin II FabricF3923-06
Ruskin Red is a warm, softly weathered red with a gently tonal surface that lets the pattern read without feeling harsh. The colour sits between russet and brick, giving the fabric a grounded, heritage feel.

About this fabric
This fabric is composed of 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton, with a width of approximately 142cm and a repeat of V 64cm / H 36cm approx. In this colourway, the design reads as a muted russet red with deeper red-brown shading worked through the pattern, so the surface feels rich rather than bright. The weave and finish shown in the swatch have a subtle dry softness, with the motif emerging through tone-on-tone contrast instead of sharp outline. It has enough presence for tailored upholstery, while the linen and cotton content help keep the look relaxed rather than glossy. Care code Q 8 : T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.
How to use it
Use Ruskin Red to bring warmth to a sofa, slipper chair or upholstered headboard where a deeper red will feel inviting rather than vivid. It also suits lined curtains in a room with aged timber, brass or tobacco-toned leather, where the shade can echo classic interior colours.
A warm red with a softly aged surface that works beautifully on elegant upholstery or lined drapery.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ruskin Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
