Ruskin Navy
Ruskin II FabricF3923-12
Ruskin Navy is a richly dark navy damask with a softly worn, textural look that lifts the pattern just enough against the ground. The motif sits close to the surface, giving the swatch a layered, atmospheric feel rather than a high-contrast finish.

About this fabric
This Ruskin II fabric from Colefax and Fowler is composed of 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton, with a width of approximately 142cm and a repeat of V 64cm / H 36cm approx. In Ruskin Navy, the damask design reads in very deep blue with charcoal undertones, so the pattern feels subtle and shadowy rather than bright or crisp. The textured face catches light softly across the motifs, which helps the design show depth without losing its restrained, classic character. With no performance features noted and a fire code of √CM, it is a considered choice for refined decorative schemes.
How to use it
Use Ruskin Navy on a large upholstered piece or full-length curtains where the dark blue ground can hold its own in a formal room. It pairs especially well with pale walls, walnut timber and brushed brass, which all bring out the cooler blue notes.
A deep navy damask with a softly aged surface suits elegant upholstery or lined drapery.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ruskin Navy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
