About this fabric

This colourway has the dense, even look of a classic velvet, with a refined surface that shifts subtly from inky blue to softer blue-black as the pile moves. It is supplied at 137cm wide and is suitable for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, making it a versatile choice for both domestic and contract schemes. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and FR compliance to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, it is well specified for demanding seating applications. The composition blends 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and the cloth is finished as stain resistant for easier everyday use. Care should be taken with dry cleaning or a delicate 30°C wash, with no ironing or tumble drying.

How to use it

Use Atlantis where you want a strong, tailored base that still feels soft and welcoming, especially on sofas, banquettes or upholstered headboards. Its cool navy tone pairs well with pale neutrals, smoked woods and brass for a crisp, composed scheme.
