Omega Velvet 4 Aegean is a rich, cool teal velvet with a softly shifting pile that catches the light in darker and lighter waves. The colour sits between blue and green, giving it a calm, tailored look rather than a bright tropical feel.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a deep teal ground with a slightly blue bias, and the velvet pile gives it a smooth, low-sheen finish that reads more polished than glossy. Made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, it is a practical velvet with a substantial hand and a plain surface that lets the colour do the work. The fabric is 137cm wide, has a Martindale rub test of 100,000, and is graded for Contract and General Domestic upholstery, so it is well suited to demanding seating as well as curtains and loose covers. It also carries FR rating A, conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the stain-resistant finish makes this moody Aegean shade easier to live with.

How to use it

Use this deep teal on a statement armchair, banquette or full-height drapery where its cool depth can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with warm oak, brass details and pale neutrals for contrast.
