About this fabric

This colourway reads as a very dark aqua with teal and forest-green undertones, appearing almost inky in the denser folds of the pile. As a velvet, it has the smooth, light-catching surface you expect from the category, but the finish here is restrained and elegant rather than glossy. The fabric is 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, and it is specified for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use, it is a practical choice as well as a luxurious one. The plain pattern repeat and 137cm width make it straightforward to work with on both furniture and window treatments.

How to use it

Use this dark aqua on a tailored sofa, dining chairs or bench seating to add depth without shouting for attention. It works especially well with pale oak, brass, chalky neutrals and other cool greens.
