Taiki River

Maru Fabric003

Taiki River is a lively striped colourway with a fresh teal ground and warm brick-red accents. The repeating motif gives the fabric a playful, rhythmic feel that reads bright rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Taiki River from Linwood’s Maru collection is supplied as a cushion in a 40cm x 55cm size, with duck feathers filling and dry clean care. The fabric shows a woven-looking, slightly slubbed surface that helps the colours feel relaxed and textural rather than flat. Soft teal bands are paired with pale yellow-green columns, while the zigzag-edged vertical motif in brick red and cream brings a bold contrast across the design. The face and reverse are both Taiki Brick Red, and the C non-FR specification means domestic upholstery should receive FR treatment if used that way.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that need a lift, especially alongside oak, rattan, chalky whites or denim blues. The cool teal keeps it breezy, while the brick-red stripe adds enough warmth to anchor cushions or a statement accent chair.

Use with warm neutrals or pale timber to let the playful stripe stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
