About this fabric

This plain velvet sits within Linwood’s Omega IV collection and is sold by the metre at 137cm wide. The fabric combines 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and it carries a 100,000 Martindale rub test plus contract and general domestic upholstery grading. Visually, Fjord is a muted blue-green with a cool undertone, neither bright nor dark, so the pile catches light with a gentle, even sheen rather than a glossy flash. It is suitable for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, and its BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 rating supports use in considered contract interiors.

How to use it

Use Fjord on clean-lined sofas, dining chairs or banquettes where the cool teal tone can add colour without overpowering the room. It also works well for tailored curtains in spaces with pale oak, stone or chalky neutrals.
