About this fabric

This plain velvet reads as a rich emerald green with a slightly cool undertone, so it feels vibrant rather than muddy. The pile gives the cloth a refined sheen that shifts subtly as it moves across the light. It is specified at 137cm wide and has a 100,000 Martindale rub test, making it suitable for both Contract and General Domestic upholstery as well as curtains and loose covers. The composition blends 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, while the A FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use it to bring saturated colour to an upholstered chair, banquette or headboard, where the emerald tone can read especially luxurious. It also makes a strong curtain fabric when paired with pale wood, brass or warm neutrals to lift the depth of the green.
