Tidal Cyan

Chesil Fabric

Tidal Cyan brings a calm, sea-washed teal to the Chesil collection, with a gently rippled surface that gives the colour movement and depth. The woven texture reads relaxed and tactile rather than flat or glossy.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a soft teal ground crossed with lighter, wave-like striations, creating a quietly undulating surface that feels fresh and coastal. The 137cm width and 35cm vertical pattern repeat make it practical for tailored upholstery layouts, while the 35,000 Martindale rating supports contract and general domestic use. Its blend of 53% viscose, 26% linen, 16% cotton and 5% polyester gives the fabric a refined, slightly slubby handle with a subtle soft sheen in the lighter threads. Finished with a BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 cigarette and match compliance rating, it is suitable for fixed upholstery and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

The cool, muted teal works well on statement chairs, ottomans or banquettes, especially where you want colour without sharp brightness. Pair it with bleached timber, stone-toned neutrals and pale green accents to echo its coastal feel.

Use with pale oak, chalk white and brushed brass for a fresh, layered look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
