Tidal Sand

Chesil Fabric

Tidal Sand in Chesil has a softly mottled, wave-like surface that reads as muted olive over sand. The small-scale pattern feels subtle from a distance and more textured up close.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 5% polyester, 26% linen, 16% cotton and 53% viscose, this fabric has a dry, tactile handle that suits structured interior use. The visible colourway mixes warm sand, olive and khaki notes, giving the cloth a calm earthy depth rather than a bright green cast. Its 35cm approximate vertical pattern repeat creates a gentle rhythmic effect across the width, while the 35,000 Martindale result supports contract and general domestic upholstery. At 137cm wide and with A-rated FR performance to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, it is a practical choice for fixed seating that still feels refined.

How to use it

Use Tidal Sand on a sofa, banquette or occasional chair where its olive-sand tone can anchor a room with timber, leather and natural linens. It also works well as a quieter contrast beside plain cream or stone textiles.

A grounded olive weave that suits tailored seating and quietly patterned accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
