About this fabric
Part of the Chesil collection by Linwood, this fabric is specified for fixed upholstery and carries an upholstery grade of Contract, General Domestic. The composition is 53% viscose, 26% linen, 16% cotton and 5% polyester, which helps explain the fabric’s dry, slightly slubby surface and the way the pale ground flickers through the stronger apricot-brown yarns. It has a Martindale rub test of 35,000 and an FR rating of A, conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 (Cigarette) and 1 (Match). At approximately 137cm wide and with a vertical pattern repeat of about 35cm, it suits tailored upholstered pieces where the small-scale wave motif can be appreciated.
How to use it
Use Tidal Apricot on an armchair, banquette or headboard where its warm apricot and ochre tones can bring softness to timber, plaster and stone. It also works well as a lively accent against neutrals, especially in rooms that need a little warmth without going bright.
