Bronte Saffron

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Saffron is a rich plain fabric with a warm, earthy saffron-brown appearance and a subtle linen-like texture. The close weave gives the surface a softly tailored look rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

Woven in India from 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, Bronte Saffron is specified for drapes only and has a substantial weight of 320gsm, so it hangs with a fuller, more grounded feel. The 140cm width makes it practical for made-to-measure curtains, while the zero horizontal repeat confirms the clean plain appearance seen in the swatch. In this colourway, the saffron note reads as muted and burnished rather than bright, with brown undertones that deepen in the weave. The texture catches the light gently, giving the surface a quiet depth that suits polished, understated interiors.

How to use it

Use this deep saffron brown for curtains in rooms that need warmth without glare, especially alongside oak, leather and dark painted wood. It works particularly well where a smart, earthy plain is needed to soften crisp architecture.

A warm saffron-toned plain that brings depth and richness to tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
