Bronte Silver

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Silver reads as a cool, softly reflective silver-grey with a fine, linen-like surface. The plain ground gives it a calm, tailored look with just enough texture to stop the colour feeling flat.

About this fabric

This plain fabric from the Darwin Collection by Ashley Wilde is composed of 68% recycled polyester and 32% polyester, with a width of 140cm and a substantial 320gsm weight. The cloth has a lightly slubbed, woven appearance that shows up clearly in the soft grey-blue silver tone, giving the surface a dry, elegant texture rather than a glossy finish. With no horizontal pattern repeat, the colourway relies on its subtle weave and muted sheen for character. It is specified for drapes only, which suits the fluid, medium-weight handle implied by the 448 grams per linear metre construction.

How to use it

Use Bronte Silver for long, clean-lined curtains where the pale metallic-grey tone can lift a room without looking stark. It works especially well with white, charcoal, and pale oak finishes for a calm, contemporary scheme.

A cool silver-grey plain that feels crisp and understated on a window.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
