Bronte Onyx

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Onyx is a deep charcoal-black plain with a dry, softly mottled surface that keeps the colour from reading flat. The swatch has a restrained, contemporary darkness with just enough texture to catch the light.

About this fabric

This colourway sits firmly in the onyx range, appearing as a cool charcoal black with subtle woven depth rather than a glossy solid. The visible plain weave gives it a lightly ribbed, linen-like character, which suits the fabric’s drapes-only specification and 140cm width. At 320gsm, it has enough substance to hang with presence while still showing a soft directional drape. The composition is 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, and the cloth is made in India.

How to use it

Use Bronte Onyx for tailored curtains or full-length drapes where you want a darker frame around the window. It works especially well against chalky whites, smoked glass and brushed brass, where the cool charcoal tone feels sharp and refined.

Pairs well with pale woods, crisp white trim and polished metal finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
