About this fabric

This 100% polyester fabric is designed for general domestic upholstery and drapes, making it a versatile choice for statement interiors. At 133cm wide and tested to 25,000 rubs, it offers practical durability for everyday use while keeping the surface crisp enough to show the print clearly. In Bengal Slate, the deep navy-black ground feels dramatic and cocooning, while teal leaves, mossy branches, coral flowers and ivory accents add sharp contrast. The large 61cm vertical repeat and 133cm horizontal repeat create an expansive scene with tigers and birds dotted through the foliage, so the design feels richly panoramic rather than busy. Its Spanish origin and substantial 546gsm weight underline the fabric’s tailored, upholstery-friendly character.

How to use it

Use Bengal Slate on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where the dark ground can frame the brighter animal and floral motifs. It also works well for lined drapes in a room with brass, walnut or painted timber finishes, where the cool navy helps the colours read clearly.
