Borneo River

Tahiti Collection FabricBORNEO

Borneo River brings a richly layered botanical scene to a deep navy ground. The dark base makes the foliage, fruit and blossom motifs feel vivid and jewel-like without losing their sense of depth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Borneo River is specified for general domestic upholstery and drapes, with a 131cm width and a 25,000 rub test. The print shows an abundant tropical botanical design with figs, berries, leaves and soft florals arranged in overlapping clusters across the cloth. In this colourway, the midnight navy background gives the greens, teals, blushes and terracotta accents a cooler, more dramatic contrast than a lighter ground would. At 390gsm and 511 grams per linear metre, it reads as a substantial decorative fabric with enough body for relaxed upholstery and statement curtains alike.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, ottoman or lined curtains where the dark ground can anchor the room. It works especially well with pale woods, chalky paint shades and brass details to pick out the warmer botanical tones.

Layer with warm timber and plain neutrals to let the jewel-toned foliage stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
