About this fabric

This plain velvet has no visible motif, with an even, finely textured pile that gives the colour a softly changing sheen. Its 540 gsm weight provides the substantial handle expected of a furnishing velvet, making it well suited to upholstery. The fabric has a useable width of 141 cm and zero-centimetre vertical and horizontal pattern repeats. Azul’s cool blue-green cast feels deeper and more atmospheric in the shaded folds, while the raised areas show a lighter, almost watery glow.

How to use it

Use Azul on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool teal-blue tone can anchor pale neutrals, charcoal, brushed metal or warm timber. Its shifting pile sheen adds depth without introducing a printed pattern.
