About this fabric

This plain velvet is shown in a dark bay-green shade, balancing forest depth with a softer, slightly blue-green surface where the pile reflects the light. There is no visible motif, and the supplied pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and horizontally, making the colour and directional sheen the focus. At 540gsm, it has a substantial weight suited to upholstery, while the 141 cm usable width provides practical coverage for furniture projects. The close, even pile gives the swatch a smooth appearance, with lighter green highlights appearing across its folds.

How to use it

Use Bay on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, dark green tone can anchor pale woods, warm neutrals or brushed metal. Keep surrounding textiles relatively quiet so the velvet’s shifting sheen remains visible.
