About this fabric

Castillo is a heavyweight fabric at 565gsm, with a substantial hand that suits tailored upholstery as well as treated curtains; it is also treatable to BS5867 Part 2 Type B for curtain use. The swatch shows a dense, scrolling motif with black outlines and layered paisley-like forms, giving the design a lively, decorative movement across the cloth. The colourway is anchored by emerald and moss greens, then lifted by bright pink, coral, blush and soft cream details, so it reads bold but not flat. Woven in India and finished at 136cm wide, the composition of 64% viscose, 17% cotton and 19% polyester gives the surface a slightly lustrous, textured depth.

How to use it

Pair this green-and-pink colourway with dark timber, lacquered accents or plain velvet to balance the pattern’s energy. It works especially well on accent upholstery where the saturated green ground can bring depth to a room without feeling too formal.

Use on a statement chair or ottoman to let the pink and green pattern do the talking.
