Aquaria

Belvedere FabricW8123

Aquaria presents a lively school of flowing fish set over a softly mottled ground in muted golden ochre. The palette is warm and luminous, with coral, aqua and ivory accents that keep the pattern feeling fresh rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Aquaria from the Belvedere collection is a non woven design with a substantial 104 cm (41 in) half-drop repeat, giving the swimming fish plenty of room to arc across the surface. In this colourway, the background reads as a muted golden ochre with an organic, almost stone-like texture visible beneath the motif. The fish themselves are picked out in coral, blush, cream and flashes of teal, creating movement without harsh contrast. At 167 gsm, it has the body expected of a wallcovering rather than a textile for upholstery, and the printed detail feels crisp against the warm ground.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring warmth to a study, dining room or powder room, where the ochre ground can glow in softer light. It pairs well with walnut, aged brass and natural fabrics, letting the bright fins and tails provide the room’s colour accent.

Pair with quiet linens and dark timber to let the swimming fish motif stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
