About this fabric

This Morris & Co. velvet has a substantial 695gsm weight and a usable width of 134.5cm, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. The woven design combines scrolling foliage, stylised flowers and medallion-like forms in a 66.5cm vertical by 67cm horizontal repeat. In this colourway, sunflower gold is tempered with tobacco and brown shading, so the ornate pattern reads quietly rather than brightly. The dense surface and gentle pile variation add a tactile, softly reflective finish to the detailed motif.

How to use it

Use Sunflower Caffoy on a reading chair, sofa or footstool where its warm ochre-gold tone can sit alongside walnut, russet leather, deep olive or aged brass. The near-brown shading helps the velvet feel grounded in rooms with traditional or richly layered schemes.
