About this fabric

This Morris & Co. velvet has a substantial 695gsm weight, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. The Fired Biscuit colourway reads as a soft warm beige, with slightly lighter floral and foliate detailing woven across the surface rather than a sharply contrasting motif. Its ornate pattern repeats over 66.5cm vertically and 67cm horizontally, creating a measured medium-scale rhythm. With a usable width of 134.5cm and 72 threads per centimetre, it presents a dense, richly patterned surface for considered upholstery schemes.

How to use it

Use Fired Biscuit on a carved armchair, headboard or compact sofa where its warm beige tone can soften the formality of the damask. Pair it with ivory, mushroom and muted brown accents to keep the tonal pattern calm and cohesive.

Use this warm, low-contrast biscuit velvet to bring ornate period pattern and gentle depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
