About this fabric

At 695gsm, this is a substantial velvet well suited to upholstery, with a rich handle suggested by its dense, softly lustrous surface. The deep blue ground is overlaid with darker and lighter blue foliage, giving the ornate pattern an atmospheric, almost shadowed quality rather than a high-contrast effect. Its 134.5cm usable width accommodates generous upholstery panels, while the 66.5cm vertical and 67cm horizontal repeats define the balanced, symmetrical arrangement. The 72 threads per cm specification supports the fabric’s visibly detailed, closely worked appearance.
