Norbury Woad/Linen

The Unfinished Works Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0133-01

Norbury Woad/Linen combines a cool, dusty woad-blue ground with an intricate floral lattice of cream and muted taupe. The overall effect is richly patterned but softened by the chalky, low-contrast colour balance.

About this fabric

The design is arranged in large diamond-shaped floral compartments, filled with stylised blooms, scrolling leaves and distinctive vase-like botanical forms. Cream foliage lightens the blue ground, while taupe-beige flower heads add a gentle warmth that stops the colourway feeling cold. Its 41 cm vertical repeat and 68.6 cm usable width give the pattern a measured, architectural rhythm across the wall. Each standard length is 10.05 m, and the listed weight is 147 gsm.

How to use it

Use this cool woad-blue colourway in a study, bedroom or formal sitting room, where its cream detailing can sit comfortably with pale timber, linen upholstery and warm taupe accents. Repeat the muted blue in smaller accessories rather than introducing a brighter accent colour.

Use the cool woad-blue ground to bring definition to a classic room, balancing it with warm cream and taupe furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
