About this fabric

The Woad colourway reads as a softened blue-grey rather than a bright or saturated blue, with darker dotted accents adding depth between the slim vertical bands. Its 515 gsm weight gives this densely patterned textile a substantial presence suited to upholstery. The stripe has a 1.6 cm vertical repeat and a 33.6 cm horizontal repeat, while the 135 cm usable width supports practical cutting across chair and seating projects. At 22 threads per cm, the visible weave helps the pale and dark lines retain a crisp, closely worked definition.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-grey tone on a reading chair, dining seat or tailored sofa, pairing it with warm timber and quiet taupe or natural linen to balance the darker navy detailing.

Use this cool, finely detailed blue stripe to bring tailored definition to upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
