About this fabric

This substantial fabric weighs 515gsm and has a useable width of 135cm, giving the stripe enough visual presence for upholstery. The design is made from narrow vertical bands, with a horizontal pattern repeat of 33.6cm and a very short vertical repeat of 1.6cm. In this colourway, deep burgundy-wine tones are tempered by slim cream, taupe and charcoal details, so the overall effect feels warm, dense and quietly dramatic rather than bright. The 22 threads-per-centimetre construction contributes to the closely textured appearance visible across the swatch.

How to use it

Use the deep wine ground on a structured armchair, dining seat or upholstered headboard where the vertical lines can emphasise the form. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and muted taupe textiles to balance the stripe’s saturated red depth.

A substantial wine-toned stripe with fine contrasting detail for tailored upholstery and statement occasional pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bexleyheath Stripe Wine without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
