Bloomsbury Stripe Woad/Thyme combines cool, inked woad blue with softened thyme green on a creamy ground. Its closely spaced vertical bands alternate tiny floral-like motifs, chevrons and textured linear details for a richly patterned woven surface.

About this fabric

This substantial 510gsm fabric has a clear vertical stripe structure, with repeating bands of dark blue botanical marks, olive-thyme diamonds and pale blue geometric accents. The creamy ground keeps the colourway light enough to read as balanced, while the woad sections add cool depth and contrast. Its pattern repeats every 38cm vertically and 67.3cm horizontally, giving the alternating bands a measured rhythm across upholstery panels. At 135cm usable width and 199 threads per centimetre, it has a dense, tactile presence suited to hard-working upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use the cool woad and thyme combination on a statement armchair, bench or sofa, pairing it with warm timber, aged brass and quiet cream textiles. The olive notes also sit naturally beside muted sage, while the blue stripes give the room a sharper architectural edge.

The cool woad blue, thyme green and creamy ground bring graphic definition and gentle botanical detail to upholstered seating.
