Persian Tulip Umber/Mineral Blue

The Unfinished Works Handcrafted FabricMOF0265-01

Persian Tulip Umber/Mineral Blue places repeating, teardrop-shaped tulip blooms across a warm cream ground. Umber outlines and dense floral detailing are cooled by delicate mineral-blue leaves, giving the pattern a softly antiquarian character.

About this fabric

The design is visibly intricate, with alternating tulip forms, curling stems and small floral sprigs arranged in a close, rhythmic repeat. This colourway balances the warmth of the umber motifs against pale mineral-blue foliage, while the cream background keeps the overall impression light rather than heavily saturated. At 239 gsm, with 38 threads per cm and a 137.2 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight fabric suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications. The pattern measures 31.7 cm vertically by 34.3 cm horizontally, making the repeating botanical layout clearly present without reading as oversized.

How to use it

Use the cream ground to brighten a traditional or layered room, then pick up the umber in piping, wood tones or leather and repeat the mineral blue in painted joinery, cushions or lampshades. Its formal botanical scale works especially well on curtains, a reading chair or neat scatter cushions.

A refined mid-weight botanical for curtains, cushions, occasional upholstery and coordinated room accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
