Elm Stripe Bullrush

Elm Stripe Bullrush has a cool, muted blue-grey ground crossed by closely spaced vertical lines. Fine cream, stone and subdued olive details bring definition to the narrow stripe without making the colourway feel busy.

About this fabric

This substantial textile combines blue-grey vertical bands with slim dotted and broken stripes in warm stone, pale cream and restrained olive. The tightly woven surface has a softly textured appearance, while the 512gsm weight gives it a confident upholstery presence. It has a 135cm usable width, a 30m standard length and a dense construction of 22 threads per centimetre. The pattern has no vertical repeat and a 6.7cm horizontal repeat, making the linear design straightforward to align across upholstery panels.

How to use it

Use Bullrush on a buttoned chair, bench seat or tailored sofa where its cool blue-grey tone can be warmed by oatmeal linen, aged wood and brass. The narrow vertical rhythm also suits cushions or contrasting upholstered panels in cream and olive.

Use this cool blue-grey stripe on tailored upholstery, pairing it with warm stone, cream and natural timber.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
