Lechlade Stripe Bayleaf/Ochre

The Unfinished Works Stripes FabricMOF0256-03

Lechlade Stripe Bayleaf/Ochre combines a muted, greyed bayleaf ground with narrow ochre and darker vertical lines. The close-set striping gives the swatch a tailored, graphic rhythm while retaining the softened character of its subdued palette.

About this fabric

The visible ground is a cool, dusty bayleaf green, crossed by warm ochre bands and fine dark and pale lines that sharpen the vertical stripe. At 545gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstery rather than a light, fluid cloth. Its supplied usable width is 135cm, with a 2cm vertical pattern repeat and a 26.9cm horizontal repeat. The dense surface is recorded at 104 threads per cm, supporting the swatch’s compact, weighty appearance.

How to use it

Use the muted bayleaf tone to bring calm depth to an armchair, sofa or headboard, with ochre accents echoed in piping, cushions or painted wood. The vertical stripes will give traditionally shaped upholstery a neat, architectural finish.

Use this weighty bayleaf-and-ochre stripe on upholstery where its vertical rhythm can add tailored structure.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lechlade Stripe Bayleaf/Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
