Meda Iris Forest/Russet

The Unfinished Works Fabrics FabricMOF0259-02

Meda Iris Forest/Russet is a densely patterned botanical textile, led by deep forest green and punctuated with russet, cream and charcoal detail. Its close-set motifs create a richly layered surface rather than a single flat colour.

About this fabric

The design is formed from small, repeated stylised flowers and curling foliage, with warm russet accents sitting against the cooler forest-green ground. Cream highlights pick out the central floral shapes, while dark outlines give the pattern definition and depth. This 300gsm fabric has a usable width of 137.2cm and a thread count of 24 threads per centimetre. The pattern repeats every 30.7cm vertically and 34.3cm horizontally, keeping the botanical rhythm compact across the width.

How to use it

Use this forest-and-russet colourway on a statement armchair, footstool or compact sofa where its dense pattern can be appreciated up close. It also brings a grounded, historic note to curtains or cushions when paired with warm timber, aged brass and russet-toned accents.

A dense Morris-inspired botanical in deep forest, russet, cream and charcoal, with enough visual depth for both upholstery and curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Meda Iris Forest/Russet without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
