About this fabric

This substantial 465 gsm fabric is woven with a useable width of 135 cm, making the structured check particularly well suited to upholstery. Muted teal windowpanes are framed by narrow cream, yellow and indigo stripes, while repeated indigo floral bands run horizontally across the design. The pattern measures 40 cm vertically by 33.6 cm horizontally, creating a medium-scale rhythm on furniture. With 29.11 threads per cm, the close construction gives the swatch a defined, cloth-like texture and helps the cool teal and navy tones read with clear depth.

How to use it

Use Hanover Check Teal/Indigo on a chair, ottoman or sofa where its cool teal ground can soften dark timber and its indigo bands can connect with navy or charcoal accents. Pick out the narrow cream and muted yellow stripes with a warmer neutral trim or surrounding textile.

A substantial woven check for upholstered seating, with indigo floral bands adding tailored definition.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hanover Check Teal/Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
