Peony Trellis Bayleaf/Slate

The Unfinished Works Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0137-03

Peony Trellis Bayleaf/Slate combines a deep, cool slate blue-green ground with winding bayleaf stems, dusty blue leaves and softly contrasting ivory blooms. Its shaded palette gives the trellis a quietly atmospheric character rather than a bright, high-contrast finish.

About this fabric

The vertical botanical design is composed of curling stems, layered leaves and distinctive bell-shaped flowers, with the pale ivory motifs standing out against the darker ground. Muted bayleaf green and dusty blue foliage soften the slate background, creating depth while retaining a composed, traditional feel. This wallpaper has a 52 cm usable width and a 22.9 cm vertical pattern repeat. It is supplied in a standard 10.05 m length and has a listed weight of 150 gsm.

How to use it

Use Bayleaf/Slate across a dining room, study or bedroom where its cool slate tone can sit alongside warm timber, aged brass and natural linen. Keep surrounding upholstery quieter so the ivory flowers and layered foliage remain the room’s principal pattern.

Use the cool slate ground to give traditional rooms a deeper, more atmospheric botanical backdrop.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
