Daisy & Oak Warp Print Indigo

The Unfinished Works Handcrafted FabricMOF0250-02

Daisy & Oak Warp Print Indigo layers washed indigo, powder blue and pale blue-grey foliage over a light ground. The closely packed botanical repeat has a softly weathered, textile-like character rather than a sharp, high-contrast finish.

About this fabric

This 312 gsm Morris & Co. fabric has a 137 cm usable width, making the substantial mid-weight cloth suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The design combines upright leafy stems, small daisy-like flowers and rounded botanical forms in cool indigo and blue-grey tones, with pale ground showing between the motifs. Its 35.2 cm vertical repeat and 44.8 cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a clearly defined but not oversized scale across a piece of furniture or a curtain drop. A specification of 26.3 threads per cm accompanies the densely detailed surface, while the softened blue palette keeps the overall impression calm and lightly faded.

How to use it

Pair this cool dusty indigo colourway with chalky whites, weathered oak and blue-grey upholstery for a quiet country interior. It also works as patterned curtain fabric where the pale ground can brighten the surrounding room while the botanical repeat adds depth.

Use the cool, faded indigo ground to bring pattern and gentle contrast to upholstered seating, cushions or softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
