Scrolling Tulip Slate/Apricot places tightly curling tulips, leaves and paisley-like floral details over a cool slate blue-grey ground. Cream, olive, muted apricot and small rust-red accents give the dense design warmth without lifting it out of its grounded, dusky mood.

About this fabric

The slate blue-grey background gives this colourway a cooler, more atmospheric reading than the apricot and cream ornament layered across it. Fine scrolling stems weave between tulip heads, pointed leaves and curled floral forms, creating a richly populated surface with a medium-scale rhythm. At 433 gsm, with 30 threads per cm, the fabric has the substantial specification expected of an upholstery textile. Its usable width is 137.2 cm, while the pattern repeats every 44.8 cm vertically and 45.7 cm horizontally.

How to use it

Use the slate ground to anchor a reading chair, bench or sofa in a blue-grey, cream or soft taupe scheme. Repeat the muted apricot in piping, cushions or painted furniture for a warmer counterpoint to the cool background.

Use this cool slate colourway on an occasional chair or sofa, with warm wood and apricot accents to pick up the pattern.
