About this fabric

The plum ground has a cool, shaded depth, allowing the pale cream foliage and blue-grey leaves to stand out while soft blush and terracotta details add warmth. Repeated tulip heads and curling stems fill the surface closely, giving the design a lively but controlled rhythm rather than an open, airy layout. At 433 gsm, with 30 threads per cm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery. Its 44.8 cm vertical repeat and 45.7 cm horizontal repeat make the floral arrangement an important consideration when pattern matching.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat in a room with warm timber and aged brass. Balance the intense plum-red background with quiet cream upholstery accents and blue-grey painted or painted wood details.

The deep plum ground gives this densely scrolling floral a dramatic, traditional presence on upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
