About this fabric

Woven at 410 gsm with 22 threads per centimetre, Ruskin Fig has the substantial handle associated with upholstery cloth. Its muted fig tone sits between dusty mauve and softened plum, with a restrained depth rather than a bright or saturated appearance. The fabric is 140 cm wide and has no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, making its plain woven face straightforward to position. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Fig on a club chair, sofa or footstool where its dusky mauve-plum colour can add depth without introducing a visible motif. Pair it with warm neutrals, aged timber or brushed metal to complement the weave’s subdued tonal variation.

Use this weighty fig-mauve weave to bring quiet colour and subtle texture to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
