About this fabric

This colourway has a pale flax-beige ground, gently warmed by fine tonal fibres that catch the light without creating a strong sheen. Its plain woven surface has a restrained crosshatch effect, while the absence of a visible motif keeps the texture at the centre. At 410 gsm and 22 threads per cm, it has a substantial woven handle suited to upholstery. The usable width is 140 cm, with both vertical and horizontal pattern repeats measuring 0 cm.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Flax on a traditional armchair, sofa or dining seat where its warm, muted beige can soften darker timber and add texture without introducing pattern. It also works as a calm foundation for layered creams, oat tones and weathered natural finishes.

Its warm flax-beige tone and understated weave bring a quiet, tactile finish to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
