Pure Willow Boughs Weave Flax

Little Book of Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0112-02

Pure Willow Boughs Weave Flax pairs a warm, chalky flax ground with pale ivory willow branches arranged in a densely woven leafy design. Its low-contrast colouring gives the botanical pattern a softly weathered, quietly dimensional appearance.

About this fabric

At 629gsm, this is a substantial woven textile suited to upholstery, with a tactile surface visible across the closely worked leaf pattern. The warm flax-beige background is gently mottled rather than flat, while the lighter branches remain muted and softly defined. The pattern repeats every 46.5cm vertically and 23.5cm horizontally, creating an even all-over rhythm. It has a usable width of 141cm and a measured 56.2 threads per centimetre.

How to use it

Use this warm flax colourway on a buttoned chair, ottoman or sofa where its pale ivory foliage can read as texture rather than high contrast. It works particularly well alongside natural timber, aged oak and other softly sun-washed neutrals.

A substantial 629gsm woven textile with a softly patterned flax-and-ivory palette for relaxed upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pure Willow Boughs Weave Flax without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
