About this fabric

This colourway reads as a warm flax beige, with a gentle oatmeal cast and tiny specks of natural fibre that add depth to the weave. The cloth is 100% linen and has no visible repeat, which keeps the surface clean and relaxed rather than patterned. At approximately 136cm wide, it is a practical width for making up larger pieces with a simple, continuous look. The texture looks medium-light and breathable, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery where a natural linen handle is wanted.

How to use it

Use Flinton Flax on relaxed upholstery, loose covers or blinds where its mellow beige tone can soften sharper materials. It works especially well with sand, chalk white and dark timber, bringing warmth without looking yellow.

A quietly textural neutral that layers easily with oak, stone and aged brass.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
