About this fabric

The detailed design combines perched birds with curling leaves, blossoms and fine trailing stems, while the pale cream embroidery remains gently distinct against the warm flax-beige background. Its 47 cm vertical repeat and 33.5 cm horizontal repeat create a consistently patterned surface without the colour feeling visually heavy. At 250 gsm and 130 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. The 27 threads per cm construction gives the ground a close, even look, with the raised light motifs adding subtle tactile definition.

How to use it

Use this muted flax colourway on an occasional chair, bench or cushions where its ivory birds and botanical detail can be read up close. It also brings a soft, patterned finish to curtains or blinds in rooms built around warm whites, natural timber and pale stone.

The softly contrasting flax-beige ground and ivory embroidery suit relaxed upholstery, cushions and light-filtering window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pure Strawberry Thief Embroidery Flax without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
