About this fabric

The colourway reads as a light natural beige, with the embroidered pattern appearing in a closely related taupe shade rather than a stark contrast. Its scrolling foliage and repeated ornamental motifs are clearly visible across the 46cm vertical and 44.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. At 166 gsm and 135 cm usable width, this is a relatively light fabric suited to fluid window treatments, where the fine 92-threads-per-centimetre construction can be appreciated. The pale tonal pairing keeps the detailed design gentle and airy, while the dense embroidery gives it a formal decorative character.

How to use it

Use this pale flax beige for full-length curtains or Roman blinds in rooms with warm stone, chalk, oatmeal and aged-wood tones. Keep surrounding upholstery quiet so the taupe botanical embroidery remains the main decorative layer.

The pale flax ground and intricate taupe embroidery bring a softly ornate finish to curtains and relaxed Roman blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pure Ceiling Embroidery Flax without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
